US Constitution vs Canadian Constitution

Dr. Michael Hawes, CEO Fullbright Canada and professor at Queens University in Ontario, will discuss the differences in the constitution of the United States and that of Canada. Whereas the U.S. Constitution guarantees that its citizens have the right to ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness’ , Canada’s constitution guarantees ‘peace, order, and good govern-ment’. Paying particular attention to single payer publicly funded health care, immigration experience and publicly funded education, Dr. Hawes will speak on ‘lessons from Canada’.
