Summit High School music students will canvas the City of Summit on Sunday, Nov. 4, between noon and 4 p.m., as participants in the Summit Music Parents Association’s (SMPA) Annual Pledge Day. In this fundraising tradition, band, orchestra and chorus students will ask the community for financial support that is vital to the music programs across all of Summit’s public schools. Donations are used to fund scholarships, replace instruments and equipment, recruit musicians for master classes, and subsidize music trips to festivals and competitions. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year thanks to the generosity of town families!
