Name: Put the 'Pub' in Public Garden: Italian Wine Tasting & Nonna-Style Italian Hors D'Oeuvres at Reeves-Reed Arboretum
Date: April 27, 2018
Time: 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM EDT
Event Description:
Enjoy fine wines from Tenuta Torciano of San Gimignano, Italy! Sample select vintages, showcasing the range and styles from throughout Tuscany. The winery uses Tuscan traditions that have been handed down through 13 generations of winemakers. The Tenuta Torciano wine cellar has evolved over the years and the family's passion has created amazing wines in the heart of Tuscany. Hors d'oeuvres will be prepared by Italian Nonna, Rosaria Dablis Vigorito. Grandma's sampling of Italian antipasti and wonderfully prepared hors d'oeuvres will be served for you to enjoy. Encouraged by her Nonna, Rosaria fell in love with cooking at age 7. The eldest of five children, she nurtured her siblings by preparing a variety of dishes. She was featured on NPR's OnPoint and at Enoteca Maria Trattoria. And savor the award-winning Nicky Meatballs and tiramisu courtesy of Manhattan-based restauranteur, Nick Mormando, and his Upper West Side restaurant, Polpette 71.
